In the mid-1940s, Smitty saw opportunity in the post-war outdoor advertising boom. It was an ideal outlet for his artistic talent and entrepreneurial spirit.

He called the company Posters Incorporated, and quickly built a reputation for high-quality printing and personalized service. He often designed and illustrated the billboards that the company would then print, finish, and deliver. Posters, Inc. not only helped to establish the concept of value-added service in our market niche, but also perfected a number of large-format production techniques. Many are still used today.

By the late 1970s, Posters, Inc. had evolved into a premier graphics and signage production company known for delivering high-quality graphics and customer service that is second-to- none. In the late 1990s, Posters, Inc. was very successful with more than 300 clients, but the owners saw a unique opportunity to provide even more value to their clients.

Posters, Inc. evolved into Pointsmith, a shopper marketing agency with an expert focus on the Path-to-Purchase, Customer Journey. Today, Pointsmith provides turn-key services to an elite client roster of nine client brands. As the company grew far beyond what Smitty originally envisioned, Pointsmith has never lost sight of what counts most—quality and service. Our legacy has proven that consistently delivering quality and service, translates to measurable success for both the company and our clients.
