Troy Smith began his career at Pointsmith in 1993 leading the Texaco and Diamond Shamrock accounts. Since then, he has successfully managed every aspect of Pointsmith's shopper marketing business and continues to provide strategic leadership as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Pointsmith has a rich 66-year history beginning as a family-owned outdoor billboard business. Troy has been an instrumental part of advancing the Pointsmith business model from its humble beginnings, into the fully integrated shopper-marketing agency that it is today. Throughout his tenure, Pointsmith has won over an elite roster of national client brands including: Shell, Popeyes, Whataburger, Valero, Mattress Firm, Firehouse Subs, Murphy's USA and the Phillips 66 portfolio of brands.
Troy manages the Pointsmith Officer team to ensure that every business discipline is functioning at the highest level. In the inStore, point-of-purchase (POP) channel alone, Pointsmith has a 75% market share of retail fuel business in the US. In fact, more than 60,000 custom print advertising kits are completely executed, assembled, and distributed each month across North America by Pointsmith.
Aside from managing the business, Troy can often be found coaching his kids’ sporting activities and earning golf trophies.
