Founded in 1947
In the mid-1940s, our founder Carl “Smitty” Smith saw opportunity in the post-war outdoor advertising boom. It was an ideal outlet for his artistic talent and entrepreneurial spirit.
He called the company Posters Incorporated, and quickly built a reputation for high-quality graphics and personalized service. He often designed and illustrated the billboards that the company would then print, finish, and deliver.
By the late 1970s, Posters, Inc. had evolved into a premier graphics and signage production company known for delivering high-quality graphics and customer service that is second-to-none. In the late 1990s, Posters, Inc. was very successful with more than 300 clients, but the owners saw a unique opportunity to provide even more value to their clients. Posters, Inc. evolved into Pointsmith and made a shift by limiting their client base ,which allowed them to dedicate all of their resources into supporting their client’s end-to-end retail marketing programs.
Today, Pointsmith is a leading retail marketing agency delivering marketing process optimization, groundbreaking technology solutions, brand communications, POP program management, retail environments and displays, and exhibits services. We consistently deliver with perfection because of our focus on managing extremely complex marketing programs for an elite client roster of fourteen client brands that have a footprint of 54,000 locations.
While the company grew far beyond what Smitty originally envisioned, Pointsmith has never lost sight of what counts most—quality and service. Our legacy has proven that consistently delivering quality and service, translates to measurable success for both the company and our clients.
